Alright so just now i went to buy a cup of coffee to make myself not so sleepy
I was lining up behind an Asian girl while she was paying for her stuff
Okay, after she finished paying she ask for water i think
so... the cashier...
Cashier/Barista: *pass her the mineral water and smiles politely
Asian girl: *take the mineral water
After a second or two when I thought the girl is leaving
Asian girl: *point at the coffee with saucer underneath that is already up to serve and says can I get a set of that?
Cashier?Barista: *stop smiling, get an empty coffee cup and saucer for her and says if you say please you can get anything...
Asian girl: *just take it and then walk off...
I was just wondering why she needs a coffee cup when she already holding a bottle of mineral water
I mean can't she just open the cap and drink it???
Yet, it also remind me of how people here says thank you all the time and says please when they want to get something. It seems like international students like us who hardly say please and thank you back in our home country become such a rude person even before we realize it
so when I order my coffee I act smart and says can I please get a latte with 1 sugar (yes with the word please) and also says thank you when I take my coffee in hope of the barista does not feel that every Asian is rude.
After I says thank you the barista replied and says thanks mate, see ya before I walk off.......
